Woolworths to offer $2 Halloween wall tokens with money raised supporting Telethon
Woolworths is throwing its support behind Telethon again, with the supermarket giant offering $2 Halloween wall tokens to customers — and all money raised will go to supporting children in need.
Since the partnership started in 2014, Woolworths and Telethon Trust have raised $3.3 million for the charity through appeals including the Halloween tokens.
With the financial impact of COVID-19 continuing to affect charities across Australia, Woolworths will donate all proceeds from the sales to Telethon to help WA children who are facing challenging times as a result of illness, disadvantage or living with a disability.
Channel 7’s Telethon Trust chairman Richard Goyder said a $2 donation could make such a difference tothe lives of WA families doing it tough in what is a challenging year.
Woolworths WA manager Karl Weber encouraged Western Australians to add a Telethon Halloween wall token to other decorations they bought.
The campaign will run in Woolworths stores across Australia until October 31.
