Forrest Highway rollover in Birchmont sparks traffic chaos

A four-wheel-drive towing a trailer full of solar panels has rolled south of Perth, causing traffic chaos.

Police, paramedics and volunteer firefighters from Pinjarra were called to the rollover on Forrest Highway in Birchmont about 7.40am.

The driver of the 4WD utility was out of the vehicle when they arrived.

Traffic in the southbound lanes was brought to a standstill.

While paramedics assessed the driver, firefighters cleared the road.
