Perth drivers are being urged to plan ahead as peak hour is tipped to be shocking thanks to the Friday night clash at Optus Stadium.
The West Coast Eagles were granted a rare prime time fixture, hosting the Adelaide Crows tonight at Optus, which spells disaster for commuters heading home for the weekend.
Areas encompassing Optus Stadium are tipped to face extra congestion from 4pm, ahead of a 6.10pm ball-up.
That includes Graham Farmer Freeway, the tunnel eastbound, Perth’s CBD and areas around the stadium.
Main Roads WA has urged drivers to allow for extra time when travelling around the area.
Like with all games at Optus Stadium public transport is included for free with a ticket to the game, and a quick train ride might bode better than sitting in heavy traffic.
