Perth traffic: Two crashes cause lane closures on Canning Highway, Whitfords Avenue reopened after crash
A crash on a busy highway in Victoria Park has resulted in a lane closure on Tuesday night.
Incident response has shut the left lane of Canning Highway at Berwick Steet.
Motorists are unable to access Berwick Street eastbound.
Main Roads confirmed about 8.55pm that emergency services are at the scene.
About an hour earlier, a separate crash on Canning Highway forced the closure of multiple lanes at the Douglas Avenue intersection.
The crash was cleared by 8.40pm.
The late night incidents come after Whitfords Avenue eastbound was reopened following an hour-long closure at the Mitchell Freeway overpass.
A WA Police spokesperson said the closure was put in place after a crash, which is understood to have involved a car and a motorcycle. It is not yet known if anyone involved sustained any injuries.
Main Roads confirmed 4.52pm that the crash had been cleared but traffic is still heavy on approach.
Further south in Subiaco, another crash caused a diesel spill at the Salvado Road and Harborne Street intersection.
The crash was cleared at 5.50pm and traffic returned to normal.
