Peak hour motorists heading into the city had a long commute this morning after two freeway crashes brought traffic to a standstill.

A crash in Bateman on the Kwinana Freeway northbound has forced the closure of the right lane, with Main Roads WA warning traffic is slow.

A collision on the Mitchell Freeway near Reid Highway which the closure of the right lane southbound has now been cleared.
