A wonderful drop
Rain over parts of the Wheatbelt in recent days has been a crop saver for some.
Quairading farmer Murray Williams, pictured with WA College of Agriculture, Cunderdin student Ethan Gors, recorded 13mm in the gauge earlier this week.
However, it was the 41mm last week that gave his pastures and crops a new lease of life after just 6.25mm for June.
It was a different story for Southern Cross producer Peter Panizza, who said the 7mm recorded last week was too little, too late.
