A 30-year-old man has died after his car struck a tree south of Busselton.

Major Crash Investigators are appealing for information from members of the public after the fatal crash in Jindong late on Thursday night.

About 11:30pm a Subaru Liberty travelling west along Hairpin Road left the road and hit a tree.

The driver sadly died as a result of his injuries.

Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened or the Subaru Liberty in the area prior to the crash.
