Passenger killed when Great Eastern Highway collision splits car in two

A young woman was killed in a horror collision in the Perth Hills last night when the car she was a passenger in split in two.

About 7.45pm a blue Ford Falcon sedan was travelling west on Great Eastern Highway near Homestead Road in Mahogany Creek when the vehicle collided with a blue Nissan Skyline travelling east.

As a result of the collision the Skyline split in two.

The 21-year-old female front seat passenger of the Skyline was taken to Midland Hospital but died shortly after from her injuries.

The Skyline’s 23-year-old male driver was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with life-threatening head and chest injuries.

The 23-year-old male driver of the Falcon and his 19-year-old male passenger were both taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries. A teenage female passenger was uninjured.

Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or either of the cars travelling in the area prior to the crash.
