Eligible Pacific Seeds wheat variety growers will be able to claim a rebate of $5000 a tonne on selected Clearfield Hyola canola hybrids they purchase in the coming season.

According to Pacific Seeds canola business manager Justin Kudnig, the FCT wheat grower loyalty rebate is designed to both reward the company's wheat and canola customers.

He said it also demonstrated the company's commitment to a whole of system approach.

"The rebate is available to registered Pacific Seeds wheat growers who purchase Hyola 474CL or Hyola 575CL and is part of the Flexible Cropping Technology rationale we are able to bring to the winter cropping areas of Australia," he said.

"This rebate also adds more value for the grower by making hybrid canola seed more affordable.

"Pacific Seeds is fortunate to be in a position where we invest in the breeding of wheat and canola cultivars and so are able to have the long- term vision regarding trait delivery and Herbicide Tolerant Technology to help farmers get the best out of their cereal and canola rotations."

"We know high yields and oils in canola are key to canola growers success, but too often the herbicide tolerance benefits of the rotation are overlooked in much of the material directed at growers, because while it is a very important cash crop, canola's ability to set up for the subsequent cereal crop simply can't be overstated.

"This is where the full range of Herbicide Tolerant Technologies comes into its own."

While Pacific Seeds offers hybrids in every HT group, including an innovative new Roundup Ready Triazine Tolerant hybrid, this offer relates to two Clearfield hybrids.

"Group B herbicides work very well in the wheat rotation system," he said. "So it seemed fitting that the rebate offer encompass two of our Clearfield hybrid options."
