Telethon’s chairman Richard Goyder will join The West Live this morning to celebrate WA's astonishing $46.3 million contribution to medical research.

West Australians dug deep despite the COVID-19 pandemic across the weekend at the world’s longest-running TV fundraiser.

Under a new format this year, newly-elected Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas hosted a string of special guests under two nights of entertainment.

Telethon stars Eamon Doak and Nora Holly were surrounded by star-studded line-up at the Crown Theatre, including Premier Mark McGowan, sporting favourites Nic Naitanui and Nat Fyfe, as well as Hollywood actress Kate Walsh.

Sunrise Perth correspondent Matt Tinney will be on the podcast to give an update on today's latest news headlines.

After 9.15am, The West Australian's Ben O'Shea will join the show to share some quirky stories from across the State.
