Waeel crash: 64-year-old man dies at the scene after Isuzu truck crashes along the Great Eastern Highway

A man has been killed overnight in a horror crash north-east of Perth. The crash happened in Waeel, between Meckering and Cunderdin, just after 1am when an Isuzu truck towing a trailer was travelling along Great Eastern Highway. Police say near Mount Anne Road, the truck left the carriageway and struck a tree and water pipe, which caused the truck to catch fire. The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 64-year-old man, sustained critical injuries in the crash and died at the scene.
