A water tank collapsed inside a shopping centre in Perth’s east, flooding the floors and causing shelves to tumble.

The shocking scenes unfolded at Wizards Pharmacy inside the Kelmscott Plaza along Albany Highway about 5pm on Saturday.

One person on Facebook reported seeing the tanker “explode” whilst shopping at a nearby Spud Shed.

The witness said no one was hurt but the pharmacist was “shaken” after the shelves around them had collapsed.

“There was water everywhere, including in the centre,” a witness said.

No injuries have been reported and at this stage it is not being treated as a police matter.
