Josh Rotham has taken out the traditional grand final sprint at Optus Stadium, beating fellow Eagles and Jack Petruccelle and Liam Ryan in front of 60,000 fans.

It was a western derby duel, with four Dockers and Eagles apiece running 100m across the 50m arc at quarter time.

While the Dockers currently hold the derby bragging rights among the WA clubs, West Coast pulled of a 1-2-3 on the big stage.
