Jordan Clark is officially a Docker after Fremantle secured a deal in the last hour of Trade Period.

And he has a hilarious message for his new fans, after rumours of a heated phone call made headlines on Wednesday.

“Stick with me, I won’t hang the phone up on you,” he joked to Dockers club media.

“I won’t have any heated discussions, I’m pretty cool, calm and collected and quite laid back.”

With the lure of playing in front of family and friends at the forefront of Clark’s decision to head home to WA, the now ex-Cats midfielder says he is raring to go at Freo.

“I feel like Freo is a very exciting list of players that at the end of the day are working towards that (premiership) goal,” he said.

“However far away it is, it’s a good chance to be part of some history if it gets done.

“The boys look like they’ve got a really good driven group, and (they’re) on the right trajectory towards playing finals footy and winning a flag in the future.

“From the outside looking in, they’ve got a good connection with each other.”

Clark admitted it had been a stressful few days as the Cats stood firm on any trade with the Dockers, demanding either pick 19 or pick 22 with a future third rounder.

In the end, the Dockers gave up the latter.

Fremantle footy boss Peter Bell said he anticipated Clark would make himself at home off the halfback line after signing a four-year deal.

Wherever he ends up, Clark said he was just keen to get on the park after a lean run at Geelong in 2021.

“Wherever I get put is where I’ll play,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to getting amongst the boys and kicking a footy around.”
