Ethiopians break world 5km records
Ethiopia's Ejegayehu Taye and Berihu Aregawi have broken the world 5km records at the Cursa dels Nassos in Barcelona.
Taye, 21, clocked 14 minutes and 19 seconds, beating the previous women's world record set by Beatrice Chepkoech of Kenya by 24 secs.
With the women and men starting at the same time, Taye was able to use some of the men in the field as pacemakers.
Aregawi clocked 12:49, beating the previous world record set by Joshua Cheptegei of Uganda by two seconds.
Aregawi had a pacemaker for company for the first kilometre, but after that point was out on his own.
