Fremantle Dockers captain Nat Fyfe seen watching Ellyse Perry’s WBBL team Sydney Sixers in Tasmania
Fremantle Dockers captain Nat Fyfe has added fuel to rumours he is dating Australian cricket star Ellyse Perry after watching her lead the Sydney Sixers to a win in the WBBL opener in Tasmania overnight.
The Brownlow Medallist was spotted in the stands of the rain-affected match, as Perry’s Sixers claimed a six-wicket win over the Melbourne Stars at Blundstone Arena in Hobart.
Fyfe, 30, is recovering from shoulder surgery that saw him remain in Melbourne and sit out the latter rounds of the AFL season.
Perry, also 30 is based in the city and plays for Victoria in the Women’s National Cricket League.
The Lake Grace product recently returned to WA, where he undertook various media commitments for the Perth grand final and attended the Brownlow, where he presented Ollie Wines with the medal, solo.
But it appear’s Fyfe is spending time in the Apple Isle - where the beginning of the WBBL is based - ahead of Fremantle’s pre-season.
It’s the second time the pair have had a Tasmanian rendezvous of sorts, after the international cricketer was spotted in the Dockers changerooms after Fyfe’s 200th game against Hawthorn back in July.
Appearing smiling alongside family and friends of the midfielder for the significant career milestone sparked rumours of a romance and had many labelling the duo as Australia’s newest sporting power couple.
Perry recently became the nation’s first cricketer - male or female to score 5000 runs and claim 300 wicket in international cricket.
