A dozen Fremantle-listed players featured in Peel Thunder’s league win over South Fremantle to go with two more in the reserves. Here’s how they fared.

League

Jye Amiss: Kicked a couple of clutch goals in his first appearance in three months after recovering from kidney surgery.

Connor Blakely: Produced a best-afield performance in the engine room to lead Peel to a season-defining win. Was good all day but took it to another level in the final term, finishing with a game-high 31 possessions to go with seven marks, five inside 50s and five tackles.

Travis Colyer: Started slowly and dropped an early mark in the goal square but recovered to kick two majors and have an impact.

The Game AFL 2024

Mitch Crowden: Best player on ground in the opening term. Faded slightly but still did a great job in the midfield.

Neil Erasmus: Like Blakely, Erasmus stepped up late with the game on the line and won some big clearances. Was sound defensively as well.

Liam Henry: Bounced back from his AFL omission with an exciting performance on the wing. Used it well going inside 50 in the wet.

Ethan Hughes: Split his time between the wing and down back. Stood tall in defence in the third term with some important intercept marks.

Matt Johnson: Kicked the sealer deep in the final term and did a few other good things in the midfield and up forward.

Lloyd Meek: Had a see-sawing ruck battle with Hamish Free with both players having their moments. Meek combined well with his midfield group and was good around the ground.

Sam Sturt: Missed a couple of early attempts but booted an important final quarter and got in the right spots to finish with 1.3.

Joel Western: A bit of an almost day in tough conditions. Worked hard and had a few shots at goal but finished with 0.3.

Karl Worner: Was deployed across half-back and didn’t look out of place. Ran hard all day like usual.

Reserves

Eric ‘Roy’ Benning: Kicked the last goal of the match and battled hard in the ruck.

Sebit Kuek: Had a quiet day in his return from a calf injury. Kicked 0.2 from six touches in horrendous conditions for a tall forward with the reserves game copping the worst of the weather.
