SWFL women’s 2022: Bunbury Bulldogs look to reclaim top spot with win over Dunsborough Sharks

Bunbury have the chance to make a statement and cement themselves as the new force of women’s football in the South West when they face Dunsborough.

With the exit of South Bunbury, the Bulldogs are in the box seat to reclaim top spot in the SWFL women’s competition — a position they have not held in more than a month.

Bunbury are on the same points as Harvey but lead the Bulls — who have a bye — by almost 250 per cent.

The Bulldogs will be full of confidence after a big win at the weekend when they beat Carey Park 10.14 (74) to 1.1 (7).

Dunsborough — the competition’s newest team — are still in last place with a percentage of less than three.

The Sharks last played in round 11, when they were beaten 13.12 (90) to no score by South Bunbury in what would be the club’s last women’s game of the season.

The match will begin at 1:30 pm at Payne Park on Sunday.
