Western Bulldogs pair Tim English and Aaron Naughton have found a different kennel to train at this off-season.

The West Aussies joined WAFL grand finalists South Fremantle’s pre-season training return at Fremantle Community Bank Oval on Wednesday afternoon.

It’s a familiar setting for towering ruckman English, who played for the league, reserves and colts for the WAFL Bulldogs before heading to Whitten Oval with pick 19 in the 2016 national draft.

The 24-year-old made his league debut in round 23, 2016, alongside current South Fremantle stars including Sandover medallist Haiden Schloithe, Bernie Naylor medallist Mason Shaw, captain Dylan Main and club greats Ryan Cook and Ashton Hams.

Emerging key forward Naughton, a Peel Thunder product, will also remain in Perth until the New Year like a lot of other WA talents to avoid having to quarantine during the Christmas break.

The pair have been in WA since the Western Bulldogs’ grand final loss to Melbourne at Optus Stadium in October.

“Some new and old faces at the first session last night,” South Fremantle posted on their Facebook page.
