Our Round the World Dinner is warming up

In my diary, there’s a line through this Friday and five words: “Write Round the World Dinner”.

I’d better get on with “writing the evening” as, since announcing our March 12 dinner last Wednesday, 90 of the 150 tickets have sold.

I write stories to perform before each course, record them and send those voice recordings to composer and musician Steve Richter.

He then writes four pieces of music, to perform live before each course, with me reading the spoken word stories.

Chef Costa Simatos has already written an exciting, interesting and brilliantly balanced menu — one course each for the very different regions we will feature. Chef Costa has such a creative talent for this.
