High-profile speakers are booked to address the Mingenew-Irwin Group Spring Field Day in September.

Vice-president of the Australia China Business Council Duncan Calder will discuss supply chain investment opportunities and growing interest from WA producers in trading with China.

"The majority of members in WA are mining, but we have had increasing interest and particularly in the agricultural sector we have a very active committee," he said.

"We work closely with the Agriculture and Food department, with wine and grain companies and of course with the Geraldton fisherman's cooperative which exports 90 percent of lobsters to China.

Gourmet butcher Vince Garreffa will also address the crowds, along with national RIRDC runner-up and managing director at Influential Women, Catherine Marriott, and Everest climber and inspirational speaker Patrick Hollingworth.

The field day will also feature agricultural research and development, including agricultural drones, crop manager technology, emission reduction trials for farm machinery and crop updates.

The annual field day usually attracts between 200 to 250 people, technical research officer Hollie Baillieu said.

It will be held on September 5 on the outskirts of Mingenew.
