More than 25 tonnes and $7000 worth of grain has spilled on to a country road in the eastern Wheatbelt after the truck carrying it rolled on its side.

The accident occurred about 12.30pm on a bend on Brookton Highway between Kondinin and Corrigin, police said.

One lane is open to light traffic.

A Main Roads crew is travelling to the scene and authorities are urging motorists to avoid the area if possible.
