Brazen attack caught on camera as vandals target Browns Plains woman

A 68-year-old woman has been left shaken after a string of brazen attacks on her South East Queensland property over the past two months.
The latest attack, caught on CCTV and released by police, shows a distinctive blue Ford Falcon reversing up to the woman’s front fence on Downing St, Browns Plains, about 9.20pm on September 14.
The driver’s door appears to be painted black, with a crudely sprayed smiley face scrawled across the panel.

A male passenger wearing a high-vis jacket jumps out of the car and runs to the boot to retrieve equipment before chaining the front gate to the vehicle.

Moments later, the passenger climbs back into the car, the driver performs a burnout, and the vehicle speeds off, ripping the gate and part of the fence from its posts.

Incredibly, this was just the latest in a disturbing series of attacks on the woman’s home.
Police said about 12.15am on July 5, a small hatchback reversed into the woman’s front gate, leaving it badly damaged.
Just weeks later, about 3.55pm on July 27, a vehicle with no bonnet or registration plates was hooning outside the property. Then, about 3.05am on August 24, another vehicle performed repeated burnouts before slamming into the gate, shoving it 3m up the driveway.
Police are urging anyone who recognises the distinctive blue Ford Falcon captured in the footage, or who has information about the other recent incidents of wilful damage and hooning at the property, to come forward.
