Offerman boots 10 as Broome Towns thrash Looma Eagles in dominant round 10 performance

Michael Offerman booted 10 goals in Broome Towns’ demolition of Looma Eagles in round 10 of the West Kimberley Football League.
Towns came out strong in the opening quarter, slamming through four goals while keeping Looma scoreless.
The second term saw the damage worsen as Towns added another eight goals, with the Eagles managing just a single point before half-time for a 76-point lead.
Looma finally got their first goal in the third quarter, but Towns kept control booting six more majors to extend their lead.
The Eagles showed some late fight in the final quarter, kicking four goals, but Towns went on to win 18.14 (122) to 4.1 (25).
Offerman was the clear stand-out with his 10-goal haul for Towns, while Jason Baird Wunungmurra, Gilbert Barli, Samuel Buck and Matthias Pindan led the scoring for Looma with one each.
In the women’s competition, Broome Towns also secured a solid 21-point win over the Looma Lady Eagles.
Towns got off to a strong start, booting three straight goals to lead at quarter-time.
Looma lifted in the second term, adding a goal but still trailed at the main break by 10 points.
Towns pushed further ahead in the third quarter, kicking two more goals.
Both sides added just minor scores in the last, with Towns winning the game 5.2 (32) to 1.5 (11).
The Towns Brainna Mowatt was the top scorer of the match with four goals while Suzanne Jose was the top scorer for the Eagles with one goal.
