Police are appealing for the public’s help to solve a historical child sexual abuse incident at a primary school in the Goldfields.

It is alleged that between 1978 and 1979, a primary school student in Kamblada was sexually assaulted in the classroom by a man who was not a teacher or staff member but had permission to assist in the classroom.

Police have not been able to identify the man.

Esperance detectives have urged anyone who was associated, worked or attended the primary school who may know the name or details of the man who helped staff in the classroom to come forward.
