Ashleigh Hall: The family of the 28-year-old woman who was killed in the York car crash on Friday pay tribute

The woman who was tragically killed in a car accident last week has been remembered as a “beautiful person” who always put her friends and family first. Ashleigh Hall was on the way to Melbourne to start a new chapter of her life on Friday when she was tragically killed in a car accident in York. The young woman was travelling east on Quairading-York Road with a 28-year-old man when their car veered off the road and rolled near Cubbine Road. Both the male driver and Ms Hall received life-threatening injuries and died at the scene. Ms Hall’s sister, Danni, has started a fundraiser for her 28-year-old sister’s funeral. “Ashleigh was a beautiful person inside and out. She always knew how to make you smile, even on her bad days. She put her friends and family first, never missed a birthday or Christmas,” she said. “Ashleigh was only 28 years young when she passed, she had her whole life in front of her. “She was travelling to Melbourne to start a new chapter in her life with her partner. Unfortunately, she was in a terrible car accident that took her from us.” The family will put the funds raised towards Ms Hall’s funeral and other expenses. WA Police are urging anyone who saw or has information relating to this crash, or who saw the Toyota Hilux utility travelling in the area prior to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online. Since January 1 2025 there have been 55 road fatalities in WA. This is above the year-to-date five-year average.
