The 34-year-old bike driver rode away after the crash, but on Tuesday he went to Midland Hospital to seek treatment for injuries he had suffered linked to the crash.

He was later transferred to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition, where he died on Wednesday.

Major crash investigators are now appealing for anyone who saw the crash or the Tesla and motorised bicycle to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
