The City of Bunbury is gearing up for the ninth annual Mother’s Day Classic run on May 12 at Big Swamp Park to raise money for breast cancer and ovarian cancer research.

Started in 1998, the national event runs in every major city and multiple rural towns on Mother’s Day each year, with the South West event attracting hundreds of participants in recent years.

The 2km run circles around the Big Swamp Parkland and is suitable for all ages, capabilities and pets on leads.

Chief organiser of the event Parthasarathy Ramesh is excited to host the event for the ninth consecutive year since 2015.
