Carramar deaths: Man and woman aged in their 60s found dead at a home on Golf Links Drive

The two people found dead at a home in Carramar at the weekend were a man and a woman both aged in their 60s, police have revealed. Police were called to the home on Golf Links Drive on Sunday morning where they discovered the bodies. In a statement released on Monday police said homicide squad detectives continued to investigate the deaths of the two people. “Police attended the home about 10.40am on Sunday, 14 April 2024 and discovered the bodies of a 64-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman who are known to each other,” the statement said. “Investigators can assure the community there are no concerns for the general public’s safety.” Just after 12pm on Sunday, a section of Golf Links Drive and the home were cordoned off, and detectives and forensics were on the scene trying to determine what had happened. Dozens of police officers were seen carrying out door to door inquiries on Sunday in an effort to speak to any potential witnesses. Forensics officers were seen carrying large brown bags at the scene also. A nearby neighbour said she heard nothing except police cars hurtling down the street. “Most of the people that live in this street are elderly. It is usually very quiet,” she said. A portion of Golf Links Drive remains cordoned off to the public on Monday as detectives continue their investigation.
