It’s going to start feeling very much like spring this week as the days warm up and the sun shines.

Early showers on Monday and a drenching over the weekend have given way to blue skies and cold mornings — with the sun’s heat giving life to the days, which will peak on Friday when the mercury hits a lovely 26C.

A crisp 4C start on Tuesday will give way to sunshine and 18C.

By Wednesday, the weather has started to dial up a notch with 20C predicted — then the real fun starts.

A 7C morning will make way for a sunny 23C on Thursday, with gardeners really able to take advantage of the sunshine on Friday when it hits 26C.

However, it’s not the end of the wet weather, with showers returning with a force on Saturday when between 5mm and 10mm is expected to fall.

But it won’t get as cold during the night, with a minimum of 14C giving way to a maximum of 22C.

More rain will fall on Sunday, with temperatures ranging from 11C to 19C.
