Tinka Easton was put onto her back in the bronze medal match, ending the fight abrudtly as she walks away empty handed.
She went for a counter but her opponent managed to take advantage, putting Easton on her back.
The Aussie was visibly frustrated leaving the tatami.
Katz fights hard for silver
Joshua Katz should take pride in his hard fought silver medal, following the final match loss to India’s Harsh Singh.
Neither competitor could find an edge in the evenly matched contest, but a slip in concentration from Katz gave Singh an opportunity to score.
It finished as a 10-0 contest and Katz bows out with the silver.
Pedro arm bars for bronze
World number 33 Pedro Carlos Antun Neto has won a bronze medal for Australia in the 60kg judo contest.
Trapping Botswana’s Tumiso Phuthego in an arm bar to end the contest early and take the win.

A gold yesterday has been followed up by a heat win today for Daniel Barber.
He found the outside path late after getting boxed in early by Malaysia’s Mohd Awang.

Leigh Hoffman flew in the first round of the men’s keirin.

West Australian pole vaulter Kurtis Marschall wants to save his best for last, as he eyes a third successive Commonwealth Games gold medal.
Marschall, 29, has already achieved the improbable this year with a lone victory over world record holder and great mate, Sweden’s Armand Duplantis.
Now he has fellow West Australian vaulter Steve Hooker’s Commonwealth Games record, 5.80m set in Melbourne 2006, in his sights as he takes his “rocket ship” to Glasgow.
