Cricket: After 18 wickets fell on the very first day of Test cricket played at Mackay’s Great Barrier Reef Arena, Australia are on top, but Bangladesh are refusing to go away.
Fresh off the most impressive win in their history, the tourists were routed for 64 in the first innings, with Mitchell Starc finishing with figures of 6-12 to be the chief destroyer for Australia.
And while Australia will take a lead of at least 101 into the second innings, the fragility in their batting line-up was exposed again, this time by Bangladesh’s left-armer Shoriful Islam.

That’s lunch
Some handy runs with the bat and early second-innings wickets have Australia well and truly in the driver’s seat in this game.
But Bangladesh’s captain Najmul Hossain Shanto looks in good touch, and will head into the lunch break on 23 not out after surviving a caught behind review in Nathan Lyon’s first over.
We will be back in around 40 minutes for the second session - which might well prove to be the last of the game!

Starc searching for more
You could hardly blame him for firing a few down the leg side, but Mitchell Starc is well and truly on the hunt for more wickets here.

Nearly another for Starc
Najmul Hossain Shanto is living dangerously here.
Fencing at a delivery which reared up at the Bangladesh captain brought a chance which only just eluded Cam Green in the gully.
He followed up by collecting his third boundary with a punch down the ground.

No hat-trick
