‘The Fonz’ has landed in Perth — and despite 40 years having passed since Happy Days stopped filming, actor Henry Winkler remains as popular as ever.

The superstar arrived at Perth Airport on Thursday afternoon, flashing his trademark smile and signing books for adoring fans that were waiting for him after the plane landed.

Like a fine wine that just keeps getting better with age, Winkler oozed cool wearing black sneakers with yellow laces, slacks, a purple striped shirt and a flannel shirt over his shoulders.

The Hollywood icon, whose acting CV includes The Waterboy, Barry and Arrested Development, shot to fame in the 1970s playing Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli — better known as ‘Fonzie’ or ‘The Fonz’ in Happy Days.
