Residents are urged to leave now in a westerly direction if the way is clear and to get ready to shelter if they cannot leave.

“Do not wait and see, leaving at the last minute could put your life in danger,” DFES warns.

About 240 firefighters and personnel are fighting the blaze, which was first reported on Saturday morning.

Teatree Road has been closed between Mooliabeenee Road and Gray Road and residents are urged to keep up to date with road closures on the Main Roads WA map.
