Katanning police are appealing to the public for information after a car failed to stop for police and drove erratically through the Great Southern town on Friday morning.

A post made by Great Southern Police on Facebook said the incident happened at 8.35am on Friday morning, when a blue Holden sedan drove recklessly along Adam Street, Synnott Avenue and Warren Road.

Katanning officer-in-charge Sen. Sgt. Dave Rudd said the car had failed to stop for a patrolling police car when it switched its lights and sirens on, and had then driven dangerously through multiple streets.

He urged anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information, CCTV or dashcam footage should contact Katanning police on 9821 3800.
