Saturday Lotto: Two West Aussies win over $1m each, becoming instant millionaires

Saturday spelt defeat for both WCE and Fever, but two West Aussies have scored big in the lotto, winning life-changing amounts.
The lucky pair were among the seven winners of the division one prize in the Saturday Lotto draw, the other five residing elsewhere in the country.
Each winner will take home a monumental $1,428,571.43 each.
The winning numbers were 24, 40, 43, 21, 45, 1 and the supplementary numbers were 16 and 9.
It wasn’t just in division one that West Aussies scored winnings, 11 players from WA have won a handy haul of $10,486.15 each.
Saturday’s huge wins come after it was revealed that Monday’s Millionaire Medley winner was a West Aussie university student.
The engineering student in his late twenties was in disbelief when he found out that he had won a division one prize of $1,000,000.
“I’ll be paying all my uni fees upfront and I’m taking my girlfriend out for a chicken dinner to celebrate,” he said.
In a heartwarming admission, the student claimed that he would use his winnings to pay all of his university fees, then celebrate in true student style.
The student had only been playing Lotto for around six months and purchased the winning ticket from Riverton Forum Lottery Kiosk in Parkwood.
