Dudley Park man to face court on armed robbery charges in Halls Head

A man will face court on two counts of armed robbery today after allegedly holding up fast food and hardware stores in Halls Head yesterday afternoon.

Police said about 4pm a man entered a fast food store on Peelwood Parade and threatened staff, demanding cash from a nearby register.

The man allegedly stole cash before exiting the store and walking towards the Halls Head shops.

Police said the second incident took place at a hardware store on Rutland Drive about 5.20pm.

The man then allegedly took an item to the cashier before making threats to staff and demanding cash from the register.

No one was injured during either of the incidents.

A Dudley Park man, 21, has been charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of aggravated armed robbery.

He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
