Walyalup (Fremantle) has exorcised their road trip Demons in a crucial victory over Greater Western Sydney.

Shai Bolton, Caleb Serong and Andrew Brayshaw shone but it was a pair of role-playing forwards who made the ultimate difference.

Recap all the action in our blog.

That’s a wrap!

The Dockers walk away from Sydney with a very valuable four points in what they will hope is a turning point in their season.

The blog will be back tomorrow for the Eagles’ emotional clash with St Kilda where former premiership player Adam Selwood will be commemorated.

Until then, goodnight.

FULL TIME: Greater Western Sydney 61, Walyalup 95

The Giants grabbed a couple of late goals to reduce the margin but this is one of the Dockers’ best wins in a long while.

They were starring down the barrell of three straight losses and losing touch with the eight but this win levels them with the Giants who were just inside the eight to start the round.

Serong had a monster night with 36 disposals, seven clearances, three tackles and 673 metres gained.

Brayshaw was also huge with 30 disposals but it was much-improved performances from forward-half role players Fredericks and Amiss that counted.

Fredericks was stellar in the first half and ended with an equal career-high three goals while Amiss ends with two goals.

Bolton’s efforts should not be sneezed at either.

He was pivotal to Walyalup getting in front during the first half and ends with three goals alongside 24 disposals.

The Dockers remain a hard team to tip but will celebrate their first win at ENGIE Stadium well.

Simpson on the big screen!

In his fourth game the young gun has his maiden AFL goal!

The Dockers are piling on the scores.

Simpson took a great one-handed mark back with the flight before being handed a 50-metre penalty when Toby Greene tripped him.

Greene has had a poor day, going goalless.

Taking a toll

There has been plenty of gut running out on the ground today. Just ask West Aussie Tony Bedford.

Dockers sub

Dudley is out of the game for Banfield as the game turns into a thrashing.

Walyalup lead by 47 points.

Hammer blow!

Treacy roosts through a set shot from just inside 50 metres and the Dockers have to be close to home.

It’s the big fellas first of the day and continues a very up-and-down year for the harbour club.

THREE-QUARTER TIME: Greater Western Sydney 34, Walyalup 63

The Dockers are well in control of this one.

For almost the first time this season they have been the more skillful side and if they had kicked straight it would be showing on the scoreboard.

Bolton, Amiss and Frederick have been the stars of the forward half while Serong and Brayshaw have been strong in midfield.

The best news for Walyalup is they lead despite Sam Taylor keeping Josh Treacy goalless.

The Giants have an injury concern with Finn Callaghan hurting his shoulder.

Fits and starts

It’s a strange game so far.

We have five minute periods where three goals will be kicked and then we get 10 minutes of junk.

The Dockers are in the box seat at the moment but the Giants are continueing to push.

They’re out by 22!

A perfect coast-to-coast play ends in a second Amiss goal.

Worner pin-pointed Serong with a risky kick through the middle but he opened up the corridor with a handball to Frederick before Wagner took the kick inside 50.

There are danger signs for the men in orange now.
