A back pocket specialist, who also enjoyed success as a rover and wingman during his career, was a key feature of 215 East Perth games across a 354-match career in WA and South Australia.

Thanks to his durability, Curtis became the youngest player in any major football state to reach 200 WAFL games and 300 senior matches.
