The Newdegate Machinery Field Days celebrated its 46th anniversary with a hearty turnout and a mixed bag of weather conditions last week.
Grain farmers welcomed the light rainfall that fell on the first day of the event, after a drier-than-average growing season within the Shire of Lake Grace.
Newdegate Field Days was officially opened last Wednesday by Agriculture Minister Alannah MacTiernan, who remained on site to attend the launch of the PUBLIC Silo Trail.
The two-day event, which supports a range of community initiatives, offered free entry to children under 16 years of age thanks to the support of CBH.
A range of businesses exhibited at the event, including machinery dealerships and agribusinesses along with lifestyle, food and fashion interests. About 15 sheep studs were represented in the Coopers Maverick Ram Shed.
