Australian Herbicide Resistance Initiative celebrated its 20th birthday in style last Sunday night.

More than 100 researchers, farmers and supporters gathered at The Camfield in Perth to mark the 20th anniversary of AHRI.

In the past 20 years, AHRI has spent millions fine-tuning herbicide resistance research, with a key focus on weed seed control.

AHRI director Hugh Beckie said he believed Australia’s grain- growing landscape would be vastly different without AHRI.
