Ryan Tucker: Domestic violence thug again spared jail after revenge porn offence against battered ex-partner

A man has once again been spared jail despite being declared a serial domestic violence offender after attacking his ex-partner and posting explicit videos of her on social media. Ryan Tucker, 35, was last year fined $1500 for twice punching his then girlfriend in the face before stealing her mobile phone outside the WA Art Gallery. Shocking footage captured on CCTV showed the younger woman stumbling backwards, as onlookers recoiled in fear. That attack came as she tried to get away from Tucker and seek refuge at her mother’s house. Perth Magistrates Court has now been told he attacked the woman on another occasion as she escaped to her mum’s — elbowing her in the eye after she put her belongings in an Uber. Tucker also posted videos of intimate acts with the woman on Reddit, showing her face and distinctive tattoos, without her consent. He claimed through his defence lawyer that he had previously led a productive life studying commerce and running his own company, selling house and land packages. But his life unravelled when he used methamphetamine during the relationship. The prosecutor accused Tucker of victim blaming by saying the woman, who does not want to be identified, had posted her own videos online via her OnlyFans account. The magistrate labelled Tucker’s conduct “completely unacceptable”, saying his violence had left the victim deeply traumatised while the revenge porn was “humiliating” and “degrading”.
