Two children have died in hospital 10 days after the car they were in smashed into a tree in Perth’s east.
The young girls — just three and four-years-old — were rushed to Perth Children’s Hospital following the crash near Cranwood Crescent in Viveash on April 17, but on Sunday evening both died from their injuries.
The driver of the Ford Territory, a 24-year-old man, and a 24-year-old female passenger, were seriously injured in the crash, which occurred just before 2.30pm, and were taken to Royal Perth Hospital.
They have both since been discharged.
A major crash investigation has been launched and police have asked the public for help.
Anyone with information relating to the crash should contact Crime Stoppers.
