Man accused of stealing a vehicle and items worth $5000 from Kojonup Golf Club faces court for the first time

A Great Southern man accused of stealing a vehicle and several items worth thousands from a small-town golf club has faced court for the first time. Clinton George Steel, 43, appeared in Katanning Magistrates Court on November 18, charged with one count of burglary and commit and one count of stealing. Police prosecutor Sgt Dylan Fisher told the court Mr Steel allegedly stole a quad bike and gardening equipment worth $5000 from the Kojonup Golf Club. The offending is alleged to have occurred between October 7 and 10. Magistrate Erin O’Donnell read the charges to Mr Steel, who confirmed he understood them. Mr Steel will next appear in Katanning Magistrates Court on December 16 after receiving legal advice.
