One Aussie punter has just had their life changed forever after claiming the entire $40 million Powerball jackpot from Thursday’s lotto draw.
The division one prize pot had eluded Aussies for weeks, jackpotting over and over again until one ticket holder finally matched the seven winning numbers alongside the Powerball.
It comes after one ticket scooped up a staggering $60m in May.
One lucky player from the ACT scored the entire division one prize which was an eye-watering $40 million.
Spewing that they didn’t purchase a Powerpick ticket, there was a whopping 22 punters that matched the seven numbers to score a division two win of $32,769.70.
Despite falling short in the top prize hunt, 15 West Aussies will have their pockets stuffed with $10,874.15 from the division three pool.
The numbers from draw #1571 were 7, 29, 25, 18, 26, 23, 17 and, most importantly for the winner, the all-important Powerball was 16.
It is unclear if the ultimate winner is a single punter or in a syndicate, but the $40m will alter their life regardless.
