Coles opens new supermarket and Liquorland in Dalyellup, will do home deliveries as far as Nannup, Bridgetown

Excited Dalyellup residents were lined up outside and waiting to shop yesterday as two new stores opened the doors.
Coles and Liquorland welcomed the public on Wednesday following an opening ceremony where Coles officials and community groups gathered.
Located on the corner of Portobello Road and Piccadilly Lane, the store will open daily from 7am to 9pm.
It is tipped to provide shoppers with a wide range of food and drinks and include an open-front bakery as well as fresh fish delivered to the store daily.
It will also contain an undercover six-bay drive-through Click & Collect, and offer home deliveries to towns as far as Nannup and Bridgetown.
With 95 jobs created through the new store, Dalyellup store manager Ann Curtis said she was thrilled to welcome the new team.
“I know customers will appreciate the service and smiles they all bring,” she said.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms Curtis said community was a key focus for both Dalyellup and Coles and the store would donate unsold, edible food through food rescue charity Secondbite to local charity provider Doors Wide Open.
A cheque for $1000 was presented to the local charity group during the opening ceremony and the Dalyellup Dockers Football Club received a cheque for $3000.
Speaking at the store opening, Forrest MHR Ben Small said the new store opening was special for the South West community and demonstrated growth in the area.
“We are becoming a thriving region that’s worthy of big investments like this,” he said.
