AFL: West Coast are hunting their second win of the new AFL season against Port Adelaide - but the Eagles will have to overcome a historically early start time in Adelaide, with their body clocks reading 9.30am.

History will not be on their side as they look to back up a stirring win over North Melbourne with their first victory in South Australia since 2021, with teams from the west having a long history of struggling to adjust to earlier away games.

Meanwhile, the Power will also be looking to continue their momentum from a big win over Essendon last week and have handed former Fremantle on-baller Will Brodie a club debut.

The Eagles dominated the third quarter and will be kicking themesleves they’re not three or four goals ahead.

They were able to set up across half forward and look the Power in, something this forward line has not seen in many seasons.

Kelly has wound back the clock and looks like the midfielder of old.

He had 10 disposals, two goal assists and four clearances for the quarter.

“Clearly the best”

Hinkley has labelled Willem Duursma the best Duursma after taking a strong leaping mark inside 50.

He does make a meal of the shot which is his second missed chance in the last five minutes.

But the Eagles are looking strong.

In front

The Power fans are getting nervous as the Eagles grow in confidence.

Waterman gave the visitors the lead after a holding free kick before Baker had a chance to make it more than a goal.

But he missed on the run while burning Cripps all alone in the pocket.

However, the veteran goalsneak shows him how its done as the Eagles win the ball back from the kick in!

Bang, bang

The Power started the half with a goal but Harley Reid is not having it.

He sneaks forward twice and gets two uncontested marks and kicks two sets shots.

He jogs over to the Port faithful and gives them a shush after the second.

Huge blow

Elliot Yeo is out of the game and has ice on one of his groins.

The Eagles can only hope it’s tightness and a precaution.

Debate settled... for now

The AFL have announced the time slot for the next two AFL deciders.

Debut of a new sort

Club great Shannon Hurn is making a different type of debut today.

He is working as an Eagles runner for the first time so keep an eye out for him.

As they did last week, the Eagles have found their feet in the second quarter and applied the pressure to Port Adelaide.

Yeo was the catalyst with a massive term through the middle.

His physical presence and desire to make everyone know he’s back lifts the rest of the midfield.

The kids are also playing well with Lindsay leading the Eagles’ ball winners.

Waterman also looks great with a terrfic lace out mark and then slotting his second after the halftime siren.

Inside 20!

West Coast get the margin under 20 points after a great bit of composure from Davies in defence.

Duursma nearly messed up with a dangerous kick under pressure in defence but the Eagles rescued it.

Davies showed poise to get a calm kick away before Port gave away a 50 metre penalty and then Duursma was dropped in a marking pack just outside the square and kicked the easy goal.
