On Monday morning, Mr Taylor told Channel 9 the Coalition has no plan to govern with One Nation.
“We’ve got no plan for that. We want to win the next election. I should say, by the way, to people watching, it’s still a couple of years away. It’s a long way away”.

Anthony Albanese will ink a major treaty with Fiji, elevating the nations’ relationship as he prepares to meet with several Pacific leaders in a diplomatic blitz.
The Prime Minister will sign the Vuvale Union agreement with his Fijian counterpart Sitiveni Rabuka in Suva on Monday - a move that could upgrade ties to a level close to Australia’s mutual defence pact with Papua New Guinea.
PM Albanese apologises ‘unequivocally’ for crude Kylie Minogue comments
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has apologised for crude comments about wanting to “shag” Aussie pop star Kylie Minogue.
‘I apologise unequivocally for the comments,” Mr Albanese said in a statement on Monday morning.
Appearing on YouTube via Nova’s Bush Deep podcast last week, Mr Albanese invited irreverent host Nikki Osborne to The Lodge in Canberra for a casual chin-wag that revealed a slightly softer edge to the nation’s leader.
Forced into a game of “Shag, marry, date” with Ms Osborne, the PM was asked to choose between Aussie treasures Kylie Minogue, Nicole Kidman, and Rhonda Burchmore.
“I’ve just got married, I’m only six months in,” he responded.
“But if it goes t.... up, let’s just pretend,” Ms Osborne probed.
“Oh, Kylie clearly,” the PM said.
“You’d marry Kylie, and shag her and date her?” Ms Osborne asked.
“All of the above . . . she’s terrific,” Mr Albanese confirmed.
